Hey there, I’m Patrick Lord-Remmert. I’m a vocalist, actor, and violinist working and living in New York.

Patrick Lord-Remmert grew up in a very small corner of Illinois, nestled amongst the corn and soy beans. Raised in a household of musicians, his baby babbling turned into an angelic soprano tune not long after he learned to talk. He began conquering the piano at age eight, and threw in the violin at age ten. Having become a musical addict, he then added in the oboe, then the english horn, started in on the trumpet, picked up the mandolin, had a fling with the guitar, and decided ukulele would be a nice final touch to that tangle of instruments. He had the huge advantage of a built-in ensemble with his brother and sister, and all three of them learned how to communicate musically very early on. Upon finding he could gain academic credit for learning even more musical skills, he enrolled himself into every music class and extra curricular he could find (he would eventually pick up running track, in order to escape gym class, in order to fill that empty class slot with…more music classes!)

Patrick fell in love with musical theatre in high school, and has been chasing that love ever since. He continued his vocal development at Butler University, where he earned his Bachelor’s of Music degree in Vocal Performance. Through Butler and the Indianapolis choral community, he was able to gain invaluable performance experience on stage in operas, musicals, choruses, new music premiers and solo performances (as well as a brief appearance singing on stage with the Rolling Stones).

Post-undergrad, Patrick waltzed his way over to Vienna, Austria where he continued his studies with some graduate work in Sologesang (Solo Singing) at the Musik und Kunst Privat Universität der Stadt Wien. In 2018, Patrick left school and moved back stateside, returning to Indianapolis ready to truly launch his career in performance. Upon returning to Indianapolis, he learned the ropes behind a recording microphone at Aire Born Recording Studio. He performed as a featured soloist with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, with the Tabernacle Presbyterian Choir, and premiered a few new works by locale Indianapolis Composer Michael Scherperel.

In 2019, Patrick made the move to New York City. Since moving, he has appeared as a soloist with the Choral Artists of Carmel in Carmel California and worked as a section leader and soloist at Christ Church Bronxville under the direction of Philip Stopford.

Patrick’s most recent live production was a groundbreaking adaptation of Der Freischütz with Heartbeat Opera in New York City. During the Covid-19 lockdown, Patrick has been busy creating recordings for virtual concerts with Choral Artists of Carmel, Christ Church Bronxville, and Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.

He was slated to appear in the Summer 2020 season at Post Playhouse in Guys and Dolls (as Joe Hardy), in Cats (as Munkustrap), in Catch me if You Can (as Roger), and in Annie (as Howell). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this season has been postponed to Summer 2021, and Patrick looks forward to tackling these roles and getting back onstage then.
